Word from the Farmer...
We are pleased to announce that we are working with Holy Cross Abbey again, which is 10 minutes from our GCF location. We have expanded an extra 200 acres which will provide us a 30-50% increase of growing capacity. This provides us more opportunity to add new varieties of produce to our CSA boxes and leaving more fields at the farm for u-pick. The Abbey is along the Shenandoah River which will enable excellent irrigation that will be a significant enhancement to our production quality. You can find out more about the Abbey by visiting their website here. They make mouth watering fruitcakes as well!

Welcome Sandy!
Every Farmer needs a dog! It only took a couple little wishes and Santa surprised them on Christmas morning with an adorable 8 week old Yellow Lab. It's been over 10 years since Great Country Farms has had a farm dog and Farmer Mark is already looking forward to having Sandy ride with him on the tractor. |
