Egg Hunt & Marshmallow Harvest

Children 2 and under and guests with a Military ID are no charge.

After a long cold winter, nothing chases away the chill like a visit to the farm! Join us for the first "crop" of the spring-- Marshmallow Picking!! Do marshmallow peeps grow on trees? Be sure to check it out and harvest a few to roast on the bonfire with Farmer Bob. You can even purchase a s’more kit to melt away that chocolate craving.What? The Easter Bunny also hid some eggs? We need you to help us find them! There will be multiple egg hunts each day this year with over 7,000 eggs filled with treats. Don’t forget to bring your camera so you can take a photo with the Easter Bunny. Come see our spring chicks and baby animals, check out the spring plantings in the greenhouse, take a hayride and rejoice the spring! Our annual Easter Egg Hunt & Marshmallow Peep Harvest is included with your paid farm admission. The Egg Hunt & Peep Harvest will occur together at the same time. Check out the schedule below for your childs age group and be sure to come early so you don't miss out!

Egg Hunt & Peep Harvest Schedule:

11:00 AM 2yrs and under
11:30 AM 3-4yrs
1:00 PM 5-6yrs
1:30 PM 7-10 years

Rules of our Easter Hunt:

  1. Great Country Farms will provide each child 10 years and younger a Great Country Farms U-Pick bucket to use to collect the eggs so each child gets a fair amount. Please do not bring your own basket. You can dump the eggs they collect from their GCF bucket into your special basket for a photo opportunity after the hunt is over.
  2. Parents are not allowed to help children collect eggs. The egg hunt is for the children, not the parents.
  3. Parents are not allowed in the hunt for 3 year olds and older. If your child is too scared to go without you they may have to wait until the other children have gone first and then we allow the parents in to take photos.
  4. If your child missed the hunt for their age group, they are not allowed to join another hunt.
  5. If you have siblings that are in two different age groups, they can not go together. They can only do the egg hunt within their age group.
  6. There is hard candy in the eggs, so please monitor your little ones after they open the eggs so they don't eat something you don't want them too.
  7. We recycle the eggs for the following year. If you do not want to keep your eggs, please give them back.
 
The Farm Market will be offering jams & jellies, honey, local meats, baked goods and great gift ideas from local artisans.

The Roosteraunt will be open 11am-4pm serving up ice cold drinks and our all natural burgers, hotdogs, BBQ sandwiches with classic coleslaw, Kettle Korn, baked goods including our delicious pies.

Don’t forget to visit our 5 acre play area!  Be one of the first to slide down the 80' Triple Threat Barrel Slide, the newest attraction in the Farm Play area.  Our 2800 sq ft Pumpkin Jumpin’ Pillow, Double Barrel 60’ slide, pedal cart track and rope swings will make your heart race! You can become a Maze Master by challenging each of our 4  permanent mazes. See who can climb up the Rubber Ridge tractor tire mountain the fastest or romp in our Corn Bin. Get MOOOOvin' by taking a ride on the Cow Train ($2). Have a close encounter with our farm animals and do a little catch and release fishing in our stocked pond. Bring your pole; we sell worms in the country store.
