Join us at the largest working pumpkin farm in northern Virginia for an unforgettable field trip to the patch where the pumpkins are grown.  We have been hosting pumpkin patch field trips for over 19 years, and have the experience and energy to engage your students in an amazing trip.  Students will learn about apples and pumpkins, and have the opportunity to select a pumpkin right from the field where they are grown.  Trip participants in late September and early October have the chance to see the live vines before the frost, and can see the actual stages of growth from flower to fruit.

 

 

The pumpkin/apple field trip is $8/student and $8/parent includes:

• Hayride trip to the pumpkin patch to pick a small pumpkin
• Pumpkin life-cycle station
• Apple education station and apple snack
• Compost ing of lunch leftovers and learning about recycling and worm fertilizer
• Farm animal feeding and education
• Gross motor work out in our farm play area
• 12:30pm pig race for groups in October to enjoy
