“You get a line and I’ll get a pole” can be heard often at the stocked fishing ponds at Great Country Farms. Catch and release fishing on the farm does not require a fishing license making it easy to come out and enjoy the fun. Whether you are a professional tuning up your fly fishing skills or a newbie with a Scooby-Doo pole, our two fishing holes are sure to please. Bring a lawn chair and your own tackle and pick up some night crawlers in our farm market.
Great Country Farms hosts an annual fishing contest on Father’s Day called the Fish-a-Rama with prizes for largest fish caught and most fish caught during the power hour.
Join us on the farm for our annual Father's Day Fish-a-Rama! Whether you are a beginner or an expert, our fishing ponds have something to offer, and the farm activities including mazes and hayrides will keep Dad and the family entertained all day long. From carp and catfish to bass, our stocked ponds have some great catch and release challenges to offer, and there are plenty of blue gill and sunnies for the small fry to catch. We have live bait, bobbers and hooks available for purchase at our farm market.
Fish-a-Rama Schedule
Bring your own gear to join the fun. We will be measuring for the largest fish caught from 10am to 4pm, and for the most fish caught during our Power Hour from 1:30-2:30pm.
