Join us for a family tradition at our 16th Annual Fall Pumpkin Harvest!
Special Weekend Fun!
| GLOW Night with 1500 lighted Jack-o-lanterns ~ October 23 & 24 6pm-9pm |
This is our 6th year for Glow Night and the feedback was so amazing that we plan to light over 1500 pumpkins carved by local school children for 2 nights this year! This year's event promises to be magical for all involved! Bring your carved pumpkin or pick a pumpkin and then carve it to join the light up fun! Guests are encouraged to join in helping the light the jack-o-lanterns-- we will have plenty of tapers and the sense of community is wonderful. The magical lights out moment is at 7:30pm each night. Guest are encouraged to bring their flashlights for the mazes and slides in the dark. We will have live music from 6pm-8pm for your entertainment as well as twilight hayrides and a roaring bonfire.
Our Pumpkin Carving Contests are grouped by age and include prizes for "Best in Glow", Scariest and Funniest in each of the following 3 age groups: Elementary (k-6), Middle School (6-8) and Adult. Carving contest rules are available at the Country Store at Great Country Farms or at the night of the event.
The farm is open from 6pm-9pm. Glow Night admission is $8.00/person. Guests are welcome to visit the farm for daytime activities and stay over for Glow Night without repaying admission. Our Roosterante will be staying open late with kettle corn, hot cider and hot cocoa to chase the chill. |
Pumpkin Chunkin' Nov. 1 -8, 2009 |
Bring your leftover jack-o-lantern to our smashin' session and let it fly! The Silo Drop and the Zip Wire Sploosh let you do the smashin' yourself or bring your pumpkin the Pumpkin Drop Zone and add it to our upside down "fireworks display" as the pumpkins are dropped from a lift over our parking lot. You will be sure to love giving your pumpkin one final ride while you enjoy one last weekend of cow train rides, swings, slides and mazes before winter settles over the farm! | |
