What makes our CSA unique?
There are lots of CSA options out there. Here are a few key benefits to CSA at Great Country Farms:

We deliver Fruit including strawberries, peaches, plums, apricots and apples. U-pick only fruits include blackberries & blueberries.

We offer HOME or OFFICE delivery in northern VA. You can pick up at the farm for extra savings but no other CSA has a more convenient delivery option.

We include a U-pick Bonus option each week.

We want you to feel part of our farm family and visit the farm as often as you like. We have more family fun on the farm with our festivals and huge play area. Membership

Farm Admission ranges from $8-$10/person for the 2010 season  . Our season is March 27 through Nov. 7 plus November weekends. With only one visit a month a family of 4 will realize savings on their 4th visit! We have 14 U-pick festival weekends planned for 2010 and Fans can enjoy each one!

What is Community Supported Agriculture?
CSA offers you the opportunity to be an annual share holder with a group of consumers contracting with a local farm family to grow produce. Each is as unique as the farmer.

| CSA Produce Membership |
If you are looking for fresh, local produce and regular  on farm adventures, then CSA membership is for you! We pick, pack and deliver produce weekly from June to October to your home or office. Or you can pick up at the farm for additional savings.
Each week's box contains a fresh harvest of seasonal  produce and varies from week to week. Our Produce List will give you an idea of what we plan to deliver and our weekly Crop Talk Newsletter will keep you informed of what is in your delivery box, our U-pick Bonus Value for the week and all the news and events at the farm. So this season, let us do the growing and picking. Know  that your produce is grown with minimal chemicals or none at all and sustainable growing practices. We are NOT a certified organic farm but feed our own family daily from the farm so care very much how our produce is grown. In 2009, we grew our CSA garden with out adding any synthetic, chemical fertilizers or herbicides and are adding worm culivation for 2010 fertilizing. We are constanting researching and implementing steps to use only sustainable growing practices to care for the land with which we have been blessed. At Great Country Farms, CSA membership is so much  more than a weekly produce box. Our farm is truly a family destination for fun on the farm with a barnyard full of animals to visit, hayrides to our u-pick fields, mazes, tractors to climb on, swings, slides and catch & release fishing in our stocked pond. All the benefits of Fan of the Farm Membership above are part of our CSA Membership program as well. So get the kids off the couch this summer and outside picking and playing on the farm.
As a special value, CSA members get first priority on  all U-Pick items at Great Country Farms with a weekly u-pick Bonus available at no additional charge. There is a limit on the amount of u-pick included with a CSA share so check our Produce List for planned U-pick Bonus amounts. Our hayrides run regularly to take you to the fields for picking. Some items we offer are u-pick only, so we encourage you to spend a day on the farm regularly to pick your CSA share of u-pick only items such as Blueberries, Blackberries, English Peas, Hot Peppers, and okra.
