Father’s Day Fish-a-Rama & Putt Putt Championship – June 15 & 16, 2013

All Dad wants for Father’s day is to golf and fish, so you got it! Treat Dad to a fun filled weekend with BBQ, Putt-Putt, and Catch and Release Fishing. Take on other Dad’s as they putt for the championship title and fish for the largest or most caught fish.

Bluemont BBQ Bash & Blackberry Bonanza – July 27, 2013

Let the State Championship BBQ Competition begin! Come u-pick blackberries at their peak and compete in our Blackberry Bonanza Dessert contest. In addition to the delicious food, cheer on your favorite restaurant during our Waiters Race, Tye-Dye our “Got Berries?” T-shirt, and wind down with a blackberry wine tasting.

Dog Days Peach Festival – August 10 & 11, 2013

This weekend the farm goes to the dogs! The Dog Days at Great Country Farms are all about fun with your family and canine companions! Bring the whole family for a romp in the play area and to u-pick peaches at the peak of perfection.

The Big Dig~ Pancakes, Potatoes & Tractors – Aug 31 & Sep. 1, 2013

You will love starting the day with pancakes hot off the griddle and jumping on a hayride to hunt for potato treasure in our u-pick field. After digging, picnic around our featured trucks and tractors.

Cider Festival – September 14 & 15, 2013

September may mean back to school for many, but at Great Country Farms it means back to the farm for freshly pressed cider and apples! We will celebrate with tastings of this season's best sparking ciders and demonstrations of our antique cider press.

Pumpkin Harvest Festival – Sept 28- Oct 31, 2013

Where else can you pick your pumpkins right off the vine, get lost in a corn maze, visit with the pumpkin princess, cheer for your favorite swine at the infamous Oinkintucky Derby, and watch P-Rex our pumpkin munchin’ dinosaur? Only at Great Country Farms!

Pumpkin Chunkin’ – November 2-5, 2013

Bring your leftover jack-o-lantern to our smashin’ session and let it fly using The Silo Drop and the Zip Wire Sploosh or add it to the 40ft lift Pumpkin Drop Zone and watch the upside down “fireworks display.”

Egg Hunt & Marshmallow Harvest - March 23 & 24, 2013

Laser Tag Space Championship – May 4 & 5, 2013

May the 4th be with you! Come dressed in your best space gear and plan straggies to hide and attack behind trees, walls, and other obstacles in our laser field to see if you can be the last man standing. You and your new space friends could be champions of the farm.

Asparagus Mother’s Day Weekend – May 11 & 12, 2013

Why buy roses when you can buy her something as unique as a fresh Asparagus bouquet!  While the children are challenged with our 5 acre play area, Mom can shop in our market and get a special treat from us.
